2. Orders and Product Nature

2.1 Made-to-Order Products

All products supplied by Stamford Fireplaces Ltd. are made to order. This includes products manufactured to standard measurements as well as those adjusted or customised to customer specifications.

As a result:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced
  • Returns or refunds are not available once an order has been placed, except where required by law
  • Customers retain all statutory rights in relation to faulty or defective goods

2.2 Ordering Channels

Orders may be placed via:

  • Email
  • Telephone
  • In-person consultation

No ecommerce checkout is provided on our website. Pricing, specifications, delivery, and installation terms are confirmed individually before order acceptance.


3. Customer Measurements and Specifications

Unless we have carried out an in-person site survey, customers are solely responsible for ensuring that all measurements, specifications, and requirements provided are accurate.

We cannot accept responsibility for fit, suitability, or compatibility issues arising from incorrect measurements or instructions supplied by the customer or their representatives.


4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are confirmed prior to order acceptance. Full payment terms will be agreed in writing before production begins.

Any additional costs, including installation or specialist delivery requirements, will be clearly communicated before confirmation.


5. Delivery and Shipping

5.1 Delivery Area

We offer free UK mainland delivery. International delivery may be available on request and is subject to separate agreement.

5.2 Delivery Timeframes

All products are bespoke. Typical production and delivery time is approximately 4 weeks from order confirmation, unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery dates are estimates only. Delays may occur due to manufacturing conditions, materials availability, weather, courier constraints, or other factors outside our control. We are not liable for losses arising from delivery delays.

5.3 Delivery Method and Access

Delivery may be carried out by our own team or approved third-party carriers.

Deliveries are kerbside unless otherwise agreed in writing. You must ensure:

  • Safe and reasonable access
  • Someone is present to accept delivery
  • Any restrictions or special handling requirements are disclosed in advance

Failed or missed deliveries may result in additional charges.

5.4 Inspection on Delivery

You must inspect goods on delivery.

Any damage, defect, or discrepancy must be reported:

  • Within 24 hours of delivery
  • With clear photographic evidence
  • With a written description of the issue

Failure to report within this timeframe will be treated as acceptance that goods were received in satisfactory condition.


6. Installation Services

6.1 Installation by Stamford Fireplaces Ltd.

Where we provide installation services, you must ensure:

  • The site is accessible and safe
  • All required permissions and preparatory works are complete
  • The site complies with relevant regulations

Once installation is complete, you must inspect the work.

Any concerns must be raised:

  • Immediately on the day of installation, or
  • In writing within 72 hours

After this period, installation and products will be treated as accepted unless a latent defect later becomes apparent.

6.2 Changes After Survey

Where we have carried out a site survey, we accept responsibility for fit only where site conditions remain unchanged. We are not responsible for issues arising from changes made by the customer or third parties after the survey.


7. Supply-Only Orders

Where products are supplied without installation:

  • You are responsible for appointing a suitably qualified installer
  • We are not liable for damage caused during or after third-party installation
  • No returns or refunds are accepted once goods have been dispatched, except where goods are defective, damaged in transit, or supplied incorrectly

8. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods

We will consider repair, replacement, or other appropriate remedies only where:

  • Goods arrive damaged
  • Goods are defective
  • Goods materially differ from the agreed specification

Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, unless the defect could not reasonably have been discovered at that time.

Latent defects discovered later must be reported within 7 days of becoming apparent.

We are not responsible for defects or damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation by third parties
  • Misuse or neglect
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Accidental damage
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications

9. Communication and Customer Responsibilities

To avoid delays, customers must respond promptly to reasonable requests for confirmation, approval, or information.

If no response is received within 7 calendar days, we may:

  • Proceed based on the last confirmed information
  • Treat goods or services as accepted
  • Close the matter without further action

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, designs, text, images, and materials are the property of Stamford Fireplaces Ltd. and protected by intellectual property laws.

Content may be downloaded or printed for personal, non-commercial use only. Any commercial use or reproduction without written consent is prohibited.
