Design Heritage Valdora simplifies the classical bolection to its essential form — a single curved profile, undecorated, allowing the natural drama of the Calacatta Viola marble to define the piece. The bolection has anchored English fireplaces for over three centuries; here it is reinterpreted for a contemporary palate, where the stone is the ornament and the form is the frame.

The Details A continuous bolection moulding traces the perimeter of the opening, its softly rolled profile catching shadow and light in equal measure. There is no carved decoration, no fluting, no applied ornament — every visual element of the piece comes from the stone itself, the violet veining sweeping unpredictably across each face.
